My poem was made on the spot after watching the wonderful tribute to Kate. It is just tossed off and not to be compared to that glorious poem read near the end of the tribute. Accept it for what it is, a piece of love for a talented and beloved musician.
There was a young man named Peter.
As a person no one could be sweeter.
He became a woman named Kate.
If she plays near, we won't miss the date.
Great music, great talent—she's best.
And her smile exceeds all the rest.
Can't wait to be able to dance.
Bare Necessities—we just need the chance.
I loved this tribute to a wonderful gal!
