Though dancing be an indication of joy, in this and some
other parts of Europe, we are told in some parts of South
America it is the effect of sorrow: And it is certain that
in North America the rebels and King's troops have had many
a sorrowful dance. King David danced before the ark, on its
return to the city of Zion; but this was a dance of joy:
And no doubt King George would have no objection to a dance
on the return of his American Colonies to their allegiance.
('Tis a chance if his Majesty does not forget how to dance
before that happens.)
