New York, June 15. On the 28th past, (being the anniversary
of his Majesties birth day) the officers and soldiers of his
Majesties garrison Fort George, (handsomely cloath'd)
appear'd under arms, as did the militia of this place, at
noon his Majesties and other royal healths were drank under
the discharge of the cannon, and three volleys of the
soldiers, at night the houses were illuminated and there was
bonfires and plenty of wine at the charge of the
corporation, where the royal healths were likewise drank,
the whole concluded with a fine ball and entertainment by
his excellency William Burnet Esq; our Governor.
