Hague, Oct. 10. . . It is said, that in a short time drums
will be beat both at Amsterdam and Rotterdam, to raise
seamen and soldiers, in order to be transported to the East
Indies. As the Russians design to send next year from Arch
Angel some ships to Greenland, upon the whale fishery, our
merchants are not a little uneasy about it foreseeing that
our whale fishery will be thereby considerably impaired,
because the Russians are nearer than any other power to the
place where the fishery is managed.
