Thorn, Dec. 7. The commissaries who had assisted at the
bloody execution of this day, went at three a clock in the
afternoon, to the great Lutheran Church, attended by some
Bernardine and Carmelite monks, who took possession thereof
and the next day they sung Te Deum therein, in conjunction
with the Jesuits and the other ecclesiasticks of that city,
and thanksgivings for the accomplishment of their vows, with
this nation, that the Divinity has taken pleasure in the
barbarous sacrifice of the day, which causes a universal
consternation, even among those of the Roman Catholic
religion, who have any sentiments of humanity.
