London, March 6. Monday being the birth day of her Royal
Highness the Princess of Wales, who (being born in 1683)
then entered into the forty third year of her age, the
morning began with ringing of bells, the guns of the tower,
&c. were fired at noon, the flags were display'd all day,
and at night there were bonfires and illuminations in the
high streets of the cities of London and Westminster, her
Royal Highness received the compliments of the nobility and
gentry of both sexes at Leicester-Fields; and afterwards
went with the Prince to St. James', where his Majesty was
also pleased to compliment her: And at night there was a
ball.
