AN EPIGRAM ON THE CORONATION. By R.C. Clergyman.
'Tis not the crown, nor brilliant gems you wear.
Can make true Britons more allegiance bear:
'Tis something inward, what we can't define,
Which does your crowns adorn, by far out-shine.
These card`nal virtues moralists may call,
We rather think `em the complex of all.
For prudence, temp`rance, justice, courage, join'd,
With ev'ry other grace must fill the mind.
While in your royal breasts these virtues reign,
You'll ever hearts-an easie empire gain,
Without your champion safe, or military train.
