Serious reflections at church, on Sunday the 9th. of June in
the morning.
  What brought me here, -custom and fancy flee;
  I have escaped the danger of the sea;
  My soul give land unto deity.
  But ah my God, this is a den of thieves;
  What is it [ ]--angelic forms deceives,
  . . . [11 lines]
  In the afternoon at P----n meeting.
  Now will I guard against my morning fall,
  Eyes by your leave my ears shall have it all;
  . . . [4 lines]
  In the evening's walk.
  Passing those fields where Negroe slaves are found,
  At rustick gestures to a dismal sound,
  I into a place arriv'd, in which is laid,
  Poor Negroe's ashes, when his debts are paid.
