Paris.  Description of the fireworks play'd off on Tuesday
the 24th of January, 1730, on the River Seine, for
celebrating the birth of the Dauphin, by order of his
Catholick Majesty Philip V. and under the care and direction
of their excellencies the Marquis de Santa Cruz and Sennor
Barrenechea, Ambassadors-Extraordinary and Plenipotentiaries
of the King of Spain.

supported by eight great palm trees, with ornaments of
garlands, festoons, flowers, and crystal branches with
lights, and served to contain two bands of military musick
composed of kettle-drums, trumpets, clarions, hunting horns,
and hautbois, which in playing answer'd to one another. . .
