Paris, March 14 . . . Monsieur de Bellefonds, Brigadier and
Lieutenant of the Life-Guards, died at Versailles the 8th
instant; and the next day he was interred at the Old Parish-
church there, when all the martial funeral honours were paid
him, that were due to his post; all the officers of the Guet
of the Life-Guards, . . . [2 lines] accompanying the corpse,
with the trumpets and kettle-drums, and a large detachment
of the Life-Guards, who according to custom made a triple
discharge of their arms at the grave.
