London. . . October 6. The following account of a victory
gain'd by the Imperialists over the allied Troops in Italy,
at the Castle of Guastalla, was brought by mail from
Holland, viz. Taken by the Imperialists 25 pair of kettle
drums, 30, 000 weight of powder . . . [22 lines] The battle
was not decisive and 'tis believed the Germans will attack
the allies again before they can receive succours.
Te Deum has been sung by both parties for the victory.
Prince Eugene has gone to Vienna and left the command of the
Imperial Army to the Duke of Wittemberg. . .
