On Monday last died here of the small-pox, in the eleventh
year of his age, Thomas Brownell, nephew to Mr. George
Brownell, school-master, of this place. His great
accomplishments, considering his age, together with his
natural sweetness of temper, the amiableness of his person,
and his manly deportment, gain'd the love and esteem of all
who knew him; and his death is universally regretted. His
remains were yesterday interr'd in a very decent manner;
people of all ranks testifying their respect to him by
attending his corpse to the grave.
