The eleventh last month, a marriage took place,
Betwixt D---l S---w and pretty Miss G--ce
And the very next evening an elegant ball,
By Nat, entertain'd the good company and all:
What pleasure to see how they handled their legs,
Danc'd seventeen hornpipes, and ninety-two jigs,
Fifty-two country dances, perfection exceeding,
And forty-five minuets shew'd their good breeding.
At forty-five minutes past twelve they retir'd,
And the Bride and the Bridegroom had all they desir'd.
Then ninty-two gentlemen's faces did shine,
With drinking twice ninety-two bottles of wine.
Bust such order prevail'd, and such finish'd decorum,
That the like was ne'er seen at a wedding before 'm.
