Ran away from his master Shadrach Keen of Bristol, a Negro
man named Ben, about 29 years old, small of stature, and
very full faced. He had on when he went away, a red cloth
double breasted jacket, with a few brass buttons, but
without lining, and an old striped flannel shirt, a pair of
tow cloth breeches, a pair of bluish yarn stockings, a pair
of old shoes, and a felt hat with the brims cut, and carried
with him a fiddle. He ran away on the 9th day of this
instant October. Whoever shall take up the said servant,
and bring him to his above said master in Bristol, shall
have five pounds reward in old tenor. October 14, 1742.
