Paris, Feb. 25. Among other things that serve to draw the
public to the fair of St. Germain, there is a concert of
music performed by cats, who are placed in little boxes, and
all uniformly cloathed, with music books set before them,
and a monkey sitting in the midst of them. At a signal
given by the monkey, all the cats tune their notes, the
great variety of which affords great diversion to the
spectators. A few violins make up part of the concert,
probably to keep the cats in a squalling humour. (We suppose
the monkey is French, and the cats English, by their
obedient behaviour.)
