Thursday last Capt. Joseph Inches arrived here from Lisbon,
(which place he left the 11th of November) by whom we have
the following particular account of the late terrible
earthquake there, in a letter from an English merchant, to a

palace, the custom-house, the new Opera-House, all the
buildings from the bottom of Bull-Bay to the Campo de Lam,
