London, Aug. 29. The wind has been very unfavourable for
the intended Queen's passage from the continent; but as the
mails have come over, we are in hopes of the Tower guns
firing to-morrow on account of her arrival.
On the arrival of Lord Harcourt at Strelitz, the greatest
illuminations and rejoicings for two days and two nights
were made, that were ever seen there.
Forty-two brass cannon are to be fired off, in 21 rounds,
in the same number of minutes, at Woolwich, when our
intended Queen passes by there, attended by a martial band
of music.
Three rounds of powder are delivered out at the Tower for
the guns, against the intended Queen's arrival. It is said
they are to fire at her arrival in England, at her arrival
at Greenwich, and likewise at St. James's.
