Citation | BEP(F.769.036 26 Jun 1769:23 (1761) We hear from New London, that on Sunday evening the 11th ult. Mr. Daniel Shaw was married to Miss Grace Coit, of that place. The next evening an elegant ball was given by Nathaniel Shaw, Esq; to 92 of the principal gentlemen & ladies of that place, who attended and danced 92 jiggs, 52 country dances, 45 minuets, and 17 hornpipes. The greatest order and decorum was observed, and the company retired at 45 minutes after 12 o'clock. |
