London, Sept. 14. We have received the following account of
the most barbarous robbery and murder, that were ever
committed in a Christian country. Mr. Seabright, and Mr.
Montpesson, two English gentlemen, designing to travel into
France, the first for his diversion, and accompanied by Mr.
Davis a musician, the other for his health, and intending to
proceed to Montpellior, went over to Calais; and there
imprudently made a shew of two or three hundred guineas,
part of which they exchanged for French gold. On Thursday
the 12th of September, they set out on their journey to
Paris, Mr. Seabright and Mr. Davis being in one chaise, Mr.
Montpesson in another chaise, and another servant on
horseback...
