Ratisbon, August 15. The minister of Prussia has presented
a memorial to the Evangelistic body, concerning the
following accident that happened at Grunstadt, where the
free exercises of religion is allowed to the Calvinists One
of this perswasion would have bury'd one of his children at
the common burying-place, by women, according to the custom
there, without singing, or ringing the bells: The Capuchins
and the Lutherans went to the door of the church-yard to
oppose it, and obliged the women to go away without burying
the child The Count de [Lervengenon], who is the Lord of
the place, having heard what had happen'd, ordered that the
child be buried without more ado; but notwithstanding this
order, the Capuchins and the Lutherans refused to deliver
the key of the church-yard; and by this refusal obliged the
Count to order a lock-smith, in presence of a publick
officer, to break open the door: The Capuchins being
apprized of this, rung the bells, to call the people
together, and having by this means assembled a mob with all
sorts of arms, opposed by main force those that would have
broke open the door. . .
