Paris, Octo. 19. N.S. . . The last fitt of joy that we have
an account of [because of the birth of the Dauphin], is from
Brest, where there was a general procession, and the Te Deum
sung in the great Church of S.Louis. . . [17 lines] Towards
the end of the feast, Mademoiselle de la Lucerne sung
couplets upon the birth of the Dauphin, which was much
applauded. The supper was followed by a ball, which held
till seven in the morning, and all was finish'd by a
magnificent breakfast.
