Proposals for printing by subscription, the American
Magazine and Historical Chronicle; For all the British
plantations. In the Course of the papers will be contain'd,
I. A summary rehearsal of the proceedings and debates in
the British Parliament. II. A view of the weekly and
monthly dissertation, essays, &c. selected from the public
papers and pamphlets, publish'd in London, and the
plantations, viz. Political State, Transactions of the Royal
Society, &c. with extracts from new books. III.
Dissertations, letters and essays, moral, civil, political,
humorous and polemical. IV. Select pieces, relating to the
arts and sciences, viz. speculative and practical
methematic, astronomicol, mechanical and experimental
philosophy, physick, surgery, chymistry, oratory, musick,
painting, architecture, husbandry, gardening, &c. . ..
