Deserters from Castle William [Boston]. The following nam'd
soldiers belonging to Brigadier Philips's Regiment. William
Firkin a small black man about 22 years of age, born in
England, middle size. Andrew Peterson, an Englishman about
35 years old, a fair man. Ames Jefferson, an Englishman, a
little brown pock-fretten fellow, about 25 years old. John
Thomas, a middle siz'd square shoulder'd stout young fellow,
limps in his walking, an English man. John Gould, a little
chattering fellow, about 40 an Irish man very ragged. John
Mixter, a little thin brown fellow, an English man. Richard
Collis, a short lusty strong young fellow about 30 years of
age, an English man. John Jesop, a black swarty fellow,
about 22 years of age, an English man. James Hankins about
35 years of age, a fir grave looking man, plays upon the
hautboy.
Whatever takes up one or more of the above deserters and
bring them to the house of Capt. Hamouck in Exchange Alley
Boston, shall receive ten pounds old tenor for each and
