London, January 24. Letters from Hamburgh present us with a
very gloomy representation of the affairs of the North, and
mention two alliances forming to counterballance each other.
'Tis said that before the fireworks begin to be play'd
off, there will be 100 fine pieces of brass cannon
discharg'd, & that there will be a band of upwards of 100 of
the best musicians placed in a gallery in the front of the
firework, who are to play during great part of the time the
fireworks are going off; that the building will be near 100
feet height, and on that a large mast 50 feet, on which will
be fix'd the representation of the sun, which will be 30
feet in diameter, and which, on being set on fire, will
expand itself above 60, and at the conclusion 6000 rockets
will be discharged at once.
