Dusseldorph, April 26. . . [10 lines] A very remarkable
affair happen'd a few days ago at Wattenfchegdt, a small
town in the territories of Prussia, whereon the following
are the particulars. A niece of the famous King Theodore
going into a church there, to make a publick abjuration of
the reform'd religion, and embrace the Roman Catholick, some
Prussian officers who were recruiting there, went into the
church sword in hand, and carried off the young proselyte by
force. Hereupon the alarm bell was rung, which drew every
body together, and a skirmish ensued between the Catholicks
and the Protestants. . . [8 more lines]
