Rouen, October 21. We have a very odd scene exhibited
almost every night: It is a procession, in which a great
cross is carried, cover'd with crape, accompanied by two
men, one on each side, with candles as at funerals: they are
followed by a number of persons marching two and two, having
each a flambeau in his left hand, and a cutlass in his
right, with a case of pistols stuck in the girdle; they
sing, in a doleful voice, the hymns Libera and De
Profundis: Being ask'd whether they celebrated the funeral
of the Parliament of Paris, one of the masks, for they have
their handkerchiefs hanging over their faces, answer'd no,
it is the Bull Unigenitys is going to be buried. . . [3 more
