---At the desire of the said commissioners, was, this
afternoon, in the South Meeting-House here, publickly and
solemnly set apart and ordained a minister of the Gospel or
evangelist, especially among those Six Nations, by the
elders and with the countenance of other messengers of three
churches invited by the said commissioners to meet in an
ecclesiastical council and assist on that occasion: When
the Rev. Mr. Appleton of Cambridge began with prayer, Dr.
Sewall preach'd form Acts ix 14. the Rev. Mr. Prince
introduced the affair with an historical narration of the
occasion &c. then pray'd and gave the solemn charge & pray'd
again: Those three ministers with the Rev. Mr. Foxcroft
laying on hands, and then the last giving the right hand of
fellowship: The solemnity concluded with singing the 67th
Psalm, and the Rev. Mr. Hawley giving the blessing.
