Now bound on a cruise, against his Majesty's enemies, the
privateer snow Boston, William Ellery, (an experienced
officer) commander; burthen 170 tons, mounting 18 carriage
and 24 swivel guns, with a sufficiency of small arms,
ammunition, and provision for 150 men; and is a fine vessel
and a prime sailer, now lying in the harbour of Boston, and
will proceed on her cruize in ten days time. All gentlemen
seamen & able bodied landsmen, that have an inclination to
enter on board said snow, let them repair to the general
rendezvous at Mr.James Davenport's, the King's-Head tavern,
at the head of Clarke's Wharff, or on board said snow, where
the articles are to be seen.
N.B. There is wanted a person that blows the French horn,
two trumpeters, and a drummer.
