Boston, October 22. Last Tuesday being appointed to be
observed as a day of general rejoicing in this town, on
account of the great and important success of his Majesty's
arms, in the reduction and surrender of Quebeck the capital
city of Canada, the morning was ushered in by the ringing of
the bells of the town, which continued the whole day: and. .

were entertained at Concert Hall, by the invitation of the
gentlemen concerned in the management, with a concert of
musick: This being over, his Excellency with the Court
proceeded to the Council Chamber, where a great number of

evening when his Majesty's health, and many other loyal
