London, April 5. . . [para. 6] a comedy wrote on the
occasion of the peace, entitled, L'Anglois a Bourdeaux, is
now acting at Paris with great applause. It abounds with
sentiment, wit, and pleasantry; the stile is easy and
natural, and the author, we are told, praises the English
without humbling the French; which is not done by many of
the present French writers. . .
[para. 12] At Vienna, peace was proclaimed with great
triumph; and thanksgiving days were observed there on the
occasion, and Te Deum sung.
