Boston, February 27, 1764 IX o'clock, a.m. The publick are
hereby informed that after a strict examination and enquiry,
it appears that the small pox is in no more than seven
families in town, viz. Mrs. Glentworth's, Mr. Flagg,. . . [3
lines] as most of the sick in those houses have the
distemper very favourably, it is still hoped that thro' the
favour of providence the measures taken to prevent the
spread of this desease will have the desired success. By
order of the Select-Men, William Cooper, Town-Clerk.
