The Rev. Samuel Williams, having been chosen to succeed the
late excellent and honorable Doctor Winthrop, as Hollis
Professor of Mathematics and of Natural and Experimental
Philosophy, in the University at Cambridge, was, last
Tuesday, publickly inducted into that office. The solemnity
