Hanover, March 7. N.S. On the 1st instant the Czar arrived
in this city, and was saluted by the canon from the
ramparts. The Elector, accompanied by the Electoral Prince,
and Duke Ernest, went above a mile out of town to meet him,
and brought him in his own coach to the court, where an
apartment was prepar'd for him. He went immediately to make
a visit to the Electress Dowager, who, accompanied with the
Electoral Princess, received him at the door of her
antichamber, and from thence conducted him into her closet.
The next day he dined in publick with his Electoral
Highness. In the evening there was a comedy to entertain
him, and afterwards a ball, at which his Majesty danc'd. . .
