Venice, August 14, 1717. . . and on the 28th from Sig.
Loredeno at Corfu, which give an account, that the Captain
General Pisani being with our whole fleet, and the
Portuguese and Maltese auxiliaries between Coron and
Camalata, took a small Turkish vessel on the 17th, and
having learnt from those taken in her, that six Saicks
having on board a number of men and stores of all sorts,
under convoy of two large ships of was were plying of Modon,
in order to join the enemy's fleet, he sailed that way, and
coming in sight of them on the 18th, they made directly to
our fleet, mistaking it for their own, and were taken
without resistance:  rejoycings were made with firing of
cannon . . . [9 lines]  Yesterday arrived a Feloces, with a
courier dispatched by Sig. Mocenigo Paovedienio Generalio
[Dalmaris], bringing seven Turkish colours and a pair of
kettle-drums, and an account that a part of our army had
taken the town of Imaschi by assault, and the castle by
capitulation.
