Yesterday the artillery of the Bastile and of the Town House was discharged several times, to acquaint the public that the contagion is now entirely ceased in all parts of the Kingdom. In the afternoon Cardinal de Noailles by his Majesty's order, caused Te Deum to be sung in the metropolitan church of this city, to return thanks to the almighty, for having been mercifully pleased to deliver this nation from that terrible judgement. |
