Yesterday morning the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor held a wardmote at St. Mayr Axe, and declared Sir Richard Hopkins duly elected alderman of Limestreet ward, which was attended by the unanimous acclamations of the inhabitants and other loyal citizens, and the evening concluded with ringing of bells, and other demonstrations of joy. |
