Seville, June 7. On the 31st past at night, we had a
dreadful storm of thunder and lightning, attended with a
heavy rain, which did great damage in several parts of this
city, particularly the church of San Diego, where the
thunder enter'd and kill'd one of the religious, wounded
another whilst he was ringing the bells, and rent in places
the image of the blessed Virgin upon the altar. We have an
account of much mischief doing thereby in many other parts
of the Kingdom, but most of all in the Canaries.
