Brussels, Jan. 18. N.S. All the Frontier Places are crowded
with troops. Above 15,000 men have filed off from the Rhine
and Alsace within these six weeks for French Flanders. At
Lisle they expect several more Regiments, both of horse and
foot; and we are told, that a body of 25,000 men is to
assemble near that city. It is certain, that they are daily
beating up there for voluntiers, several young gentlemen
having undertaken to realise companies for the King's
service at their own expence. This government has given
order for providing Mons and other towns with ammunition as
soon as possible.
