London, Aug.12. On Saturday night one Moody, a drummer
belonging to the first Regiment of Foot Guards, and one
Cummins, a private man in the same regiment, quarreling on
some occasion relating to their wives, fought with their
swords; and after exchanging some thrusts, the drummer ran
the other thro' the body, and finding him drop, made his
escape, leaving his sword up to the hilt in the poor
fellow's body. The coroner's inquest have since set on the
deceased, and brought in their verdict wilful murder.
