London, Octob. 10. Last Friday one of the sailors belonging
to the Squirrel Man of War was marry'd at Deptford Church to
an agreeable young woman of Wapping; immediately after the
ceremony the new married couple set out in a coach and six
for Gravesend, there to celebrate their nuptials, attended
by two of his brother tars and their sweetharts, with a
fiddler on the coach-box and another behind, who had order
to play through every town and village they came to, and the
evening was concluded with fiddling, dancing, and drinking.
His friends are much afraid that he won't return 'till he
has spent all the 40 l. he lately receiv'd as prise money.
