From Charlestown in South-Carolina we have advice, that on
the 8th of April last, one of their gallies (the
Charlestown) was overset and sunk by a sudden gust of wind,
by which ten men were drowned. And that on the 26th of the
same month the lightning struck the church of St. Philip,
and did a great deal of damage to the steeple and organ; it
also kill'd a man that was hanging one of the bells, and a
sailor at some distance, and wounded several other persons.
