New-York, February 16. Capt Witter who arrived here on
Thursday last from Coracoa, reports, that a ship was arrived
there from Holland with advice that the Prince of Orange was
made Stadt-holder; which news was told him by several so the
principal merchants there, as matter of fact, and they are
daily in expectation of a French war. He touch'd at Turks-
Island, and has brought with him the goods taken out of a
French store ship designed for Canada, by the Castor, Pollux
and Tryton privateers, consisting of . . . church bells . .
