From a letter dated at Paris in December last,---- That the
young Pretender having refused to comply with the King's
Order and the advice of his father, upon the return of the
courier that was sent to Rome, it was determined that he
should be arrested, and so thrust out of the Kingdom, since
he would not leave it in a handsome manner:--Accordingly on
the 10th, 13 men were prick'd out of every company to cover
this exploit, and 8 serjeants in disguise, were order to
stand in the two passages of the Opera-House: The next
evening at 5 o'clock, the moment he step'd out of the coach
he was seiz'd by two serjeants, and M. de Vadreuill Major of
the guards arrested him in the King's name. . .
