London, April 21. Private letters from Madrid insinuate,
that the great armaments they are making in Spain, both by
sea and land, are not designed for an expedition against the
African corsairs, though they can't guess what they should
be intended for, unless the Spanish court sees the time draw
near for a new dance in Italy; for as to any jarrs with
England, there seems to be no room to apprehend them, the
answers of his Catholic Majesty's ministers to Mr. Keene
being on all occasions extremely complaisant, if not
entirely satisfactory.
