London, October 15. Among the accidents which happened at
the masquerade on Monday, the following was remarkable--The
Duke of Grafton who intended to go in a chair, changed his
mind and went in a certain gentleman's coach, the better to
be concealed; however he was by some means discovered, and
it being instantly given out among the crowd, they gathered
round the coach in prodigious numbers, and huzza'd Wilkes
and Liberty! Wilkes and Liberty!, till he sheltered himself
in the Opera House.
