On Friday and Saturday last the company of the Train of
Artillery, of this town, commanded by Capt. Adino Paddock,
appeared on the Common with their field-pieces, to perform
the exercises of the firelock and cannon, which they did
with the greatest exactness and regularity; and the
evolutions, in their facings, wheelings, marching and
counter-marching by grand-divisions, subdivisions, in ranks,
in files, in columns, and many other manoevres, gave great
satisfaction to a large number of spectators, being
performed in a very graceful and easy manner, conforming to
a musical time and cadence.
