London, August 12, 1735. His majesty continues in good
health at Hanover, and takes the diversion of walking in his
gardens whenever the great affairs of the public permit him
to be absent from his closet. . . In the evening he sees
comedy, represented in a theatre cut out in the gardens,
the seats of which are a fine turf, the partitions made of
trees and greens, with dressing rooms for the actors of each
side, consisting of arbors and summerhouses: And as soon as
the play is ended, his majority goes to supper, to which
eleven different ladies are every night invited.
