A few days since died, at his seat at Tinnepark in the
County of Wicklow in Ireland, Sir Edward Baily . . . and
what is most remarkable, and has drawn to that place
thousands of the inhabitants of Ireland, and many curious
persons from other parts of Europe, is a very beautiful
theatre, form'd in the midst of a wood, the stage, boxes,
&c. of ever-greens, and the whole contriv'd in the most
elegant taste: On this theatre some persons of distinction
several years ago perform'd for their diversion, at which
time the wood was illuminated with a number of lamps, in a
very beautiful manner . . .
