Dublin, March 7. Last Wednesday there was a most grand and
superb ball, at the Theatre Royal in Angler Street, at which
were present his Grace the Duke of Dorse, and many of the
principal nobility and Gentry of both sexes. . . [re
decorations] A fine concert of vocal and instrumental
music, the voices and instruments being dispersed in
different parts of the house, which made the most melodious
harmony. After the concert was over, there was a most
elegant supper, [description of food and further
decorations] After supper the ball was opened, which was
conducted with the greatest regularity and politeness; and
it is remarkable, that during all these amusements, there
was not the least accident.
