The following lines occasioned by the sudden death of John
Searle, Esq; Proctor in Doctors Commons, which happened last
Monday, were made by one of his clients, for whom he had
procured a divorce from his wife, which affair he had
completed last Thursday.
Death said to Searle, come set thy matters even,
Prepare to take a journey unto heaven:
By stay awhile,-I yet will spare thy life,
To free poor Kidney from a jilting wife.
